Just so you know. We were the same thing for Halloween we were last year. Jack was Gollum (grey clothes and a loin-cloth), Ellie was Frodo, Michael was Aragon (new wig) and I was Eowin (or however you say/spell the Elf-princess' name).

Fun at the Babcocks Part 2
So, Halloween video coming up and even more fun moments...
This video is a compilation of all the pictures Ellie has taken. Well, all the ones that aren't too blurry or a close up of our carpet. They get better and better as you get towards the end because she figured out how things worked. I think she may have a talent.
Enjoy

Fun at the Babcocks
We've had lots of little cute moments. Here are a few. There are a lot more to come.
As I was doing the video I realized that Jack's laugh changes. I think he knows he's going to be Gollum for Halloween. :)

Night, Night Jesus!
Just so you all know. I am making another video. I'm just finding it hard to do all the things expected of me (church callings, household chores, mothering...) and finding time for my hobbies. It's on the way though.
In the mean time, I thought I'd share what Ellie did this morning. In my closet I had a 6 inch statue I painted of Christ with two kids and a sheep. I've kept it in my closet since the move because I really don't know where to put it. We don't have that much by way of furniture yet and not a lot of shelf space either. Anyway, Ellie found it this morning as I was getting ready. She decided that Jesus must be tired and wanted to put him 'night-night.' So she took the statue into her room, put it on her pillow, draped a blanket about it and started singing Silent Night. Then she closed the door while saying, "Night night Jesus. Love you! Have fun!"

Monster!
We all were listening to a conference talk this morning while Michael was putting up a gate around our pellet stove. It snowed all day yesterday - so we need the heat :(. There was a picture on his I-pad of President Monson. Michael thought it would be a good learning opportunity for Ellie and told her that it was President Monson, out prophet. Ellie tried repeating the name. "Pres-dent Monster!" Michael tried correcting her but she kept saying, "Pres-dent Monster! Pres-dent Monster!"

How I do the Videos
Someone recently asked about how I do these videos. I've had that question in the past and am not sure if I answered it. So, here it is.
I use a program called iMovie HD on my mac. It's an older version of iMovie. Both programs are great, but I'm just use to the HD version so I use that most often.
I sync the clips/photos from my camera into iPhoto. Then I click and drag them into iMovie. You could skip the syncing step if you want, but I like having the info in iPhoto as a back up.
After the clips/photos are in iMovie I just click and drag them into the order I want. Then I 'clip' them to show what I want. It's not as hard as it sounds. You stop the clip where you want to make a cut, go to the edit menu and select 'clip video at playhead.' Then just select and delete what you don't want.
Next I add text. Click on the media button and click the type you want. Then 'add.'
Last is my music. Sometimes I don't want music (like if the kids are saying something really sweet) but sometimes you can't really hear because of background noise. Like, for instance, this last post.
That is it in a nutshell. I hope that was helpful. You can see a tutorial on uTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zta7qT2lCto

The State Fair
We had so much fun a couple of weeks ago at the Idaho State Fair. Food, rides, toys, animals... the kids had a blast. It was so much fun to be with them, though a little tiring.
P.S. For some reason some of the words are blurry. Hmm. The text during the video:
The Idaho State Fair
Jack LOVED the food.
Ellie wanted 'bumpies'...
...a.k.a. to go jeeping.
So did Jack.
They liked feeding the animals.
Ellie LOVED the rides.
"All ready."
"I'm ready."
They liked their strollers... even more than we thought they would.
But Ellie liked her zebra most.
"We're going to get the zebra."
"OKAY!"
"Hold on tight Ma- Daddy!"
"Ready...set...GO!"
"Hi Daddy!"
Jack just liked everything.
Back home in time for 'night-night.'
